MEETING REPORT: THURSDAY 20th JANUARY 2005
This was an informal meeting at the CPR Learning Space where members were invited to bring along ideas and contributions; presentations were informal.

Comet Machholz - Robin Hughes
The evening began with Robin using the planetarium programme to show members how to find the comet Machholz in the night sky. Some members reported that they had already seen it. Robin Waddling provided photocopies of the night sky for this month, showing the path of the comet. These were taken from the skymaps.com website which is well worth visiting.

Cassini Mission - Brian Thomas
Members then enjoyed an excellent presentation by Brian Thomas on the Cassini Mission and the very recent findings made by the Huygens probe. This was very much appreciated by members and led to a good deal of discussion, looking at these very first images of the surface of Titan.
