Faulkes Telescope Project - Brian Thomas and Robin Hughes Brian and Robin Hughes reported on the Faulkes Telescope course held last week. Brian provided an introduction to the Faulkes project, and described the telescope's capabilities, together with an insight into how an observation programme is planned and executed. Robin demonstrated a software package used for processing the images obtained by FTN (Faulkes Telescope North). Members then had hands-on practice at using the package. The next step, subject to Executive Committee approval, is to plan and execute a real time observation session for society members. This would be held in September 2005.
